In the final individual time trial of his under-23 career, Rally UHC Cycling’s Brandon McNulty claimed bronze at the U23 World Road Championships in the Individual Time Trial. The performance marked McNulty’s fourth world championship medal which includes a junior world title from 2016.
“It was great to finally put together a time trial that I’m proud of,” said McNulty. “I’ve had a difficult time the last couple of seasons with putting together good time trial performances, but I was finally able to match my form with full confidence in my position and equipment.”
The 30 km time trial course in Yorkshire, England was hit with such a massive amount of rain that parts were nearly impassable.
“Conditions were pretty horrid out there, especially with the massive pools of standing water,” said McNulty. “I don’t usually mind bad weather so I’m glad I avoided any mishaps."
